This lovely blue poppy is another wonderful example of Kim Benders success with detail this oil on canvas painting offers a visual paradise of merging colors and a softness and delicate feeling to the leaves this detail is usually reserved for older painters.
Ms Benders understanding of light and form give the on looker a vision of space and depth.
Not to mention the fantasy that the painting as a whole offers one.

A slight change in direction with a fantasy of ideas as expressed in this wonderful painting.
Ms Benders fusion of modern and traditional strokes sets the mood for a very deep and personal look at the artist style and creative brilliance.

This is another of the wonderful oil paintings from the Calla Lily series created in California by Kim Bender.
This is truly a complement to Ms O'keeffe's ever present memory in the artist heart.
A wonderful desert of golden hues as often seen in the california desert. And a soft Calla Lily to offset the dramatic hills.
Not one missing brushstroke or moment of feeling in this lovely and dynamic oil painting.

A striking series of paintings is the Calla Lily series three lovely paintings in oil done at the time Miss Bender lived in California. Expressed in her interest in bright blue skies and vibrant colors.

Kim Benders orange poppy jumps off the canvas
with such power but at the same time a softness
that conveys the artist ability to understand
the impact color has and not to over state
the effects color has on its viewers.
She give just enough concern to detail to allow
you to feel the summer sun
and the warmth of the flower as it radiates its beauty.

Kim Benders Poppy's come from a place full
of knowledge and understanding.
Her expression and personality come
through in the leaves of this flower and the richness in its simplicity.
She not only surprises you with her
compassion for the beauty of her
flowers but also in the history of one of her favorite artist Georgia O'Keeffee.
